Potatoes are a staple in the diet of millions, and constant demand necessitates storage large quantities to meet year-round consumption. Potato sprouting during is major problem that leads lost revenue food waste, inspiring numerous studies into methods sprout suppression. As bans on common synthetic suppressants become increasingly widespread, greater attention turning organic alternatives including essential oils (EOs) as suppressants. This review presents an overview physical chemical means suppression stored potato critically analyzes focusing use EOs for Promising identified evaluated fresh, processing, seed storage.
